Celebrity Chef José Andrés Brings Culinary Excellence to Reagan National
World-renowned chef and humanitarian José Andrés is elevating the airport dining experience with his latest venture at Reagan National Airport in Washington, D.C. The new restaurant, which opened this month, brings his signature Spanish-inspired cuisine to Terminal 2, offering travelers a taste of fine dining between flights.
The establishment features a carefully curated menu that combines quick-service convenience with the chef's acclaimed culinary style. Travelers can expect to find Spanish classics like jamón ibérico, patatas bravas, and made-to-order paellas, alongside grab-and-go options designed for busy passengers.
This opening marks a significant upgrade to Reagan National's dining options and is part of a broader trend of airports partnering with celebrated chefs to enhance the travel experience. The restaurant incorporates sustainable practices and locally sourced ingredients where possible, reflecting Andrés' commitment to responsible dining.
"Our goal is to bring joy through food to travelers, even if they only have 30 minutes between flights," said Andrés. "Good food shouldn't be a luxury – it should be accessible to everyone, everywhere, including airports."
The space features an open-kitchen design, allowing passengers to watch their meals being prepared, and includes both sit-down dining areas and a quick-service counter. The restaurant operates daily from 6 AM to 10 PM, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.
This new venture adds to José Andrés' growing restaurant empire and continues his mission of bringing quality dining experiences to unexpected places. For Reagan National, it represents another step in transforming airport dining from a mere necessity into a genuine culinary experience.
